About
I'm chair of a Master's module in Applied Linguistics at the Open University (Language, Literacy and Learning in the Contemporary World, E852) and also production chair of a third year undergraduate module (English Grammar in Context, E303).
My research interests include English for Academic Purposes, corpus linguistics, lexical chunks/formulaic language and teacher development.
I recently finished my PhD, also at the Open University, on lexical chunks/formulaic language in the assessed writing of Chinese students in UK universities.
