About
Ester McGeeney is a PhD Student researching young peoples’ sexual relationships and cultures. Her studentship is funded by Brook, the young people’s sexual health charity and The Open University where she is based in the Faculty of Health and Social Care. Her PhD is a mixed methods study looking at young people’s understandings and experiences of sexual pleasure. Ester is interested in how young people’s conceptions of pleasure can be theorised and used to inform the delivery of sexual health services for young people. Before studying for a PhD Ester worked as a youth practitioner and she continues to work with young people and their families
