About
Teaching experience in undergraduate systems thinking, research methods and online media production. Research interests in the use of technology for facilitating participatory learning processes, and in governance and community development in rural policy and practice. Publications include journal and conference papers, book chapters and policy briefs in development studies, environmental management and rural sociology. Recent projects include the leadership of an ESRC funded national network on participatory video in research methodology. Teaching responsibilities include leading production and presentation course teams teaching systems theory and practice at undergraduate level, and contributing to research methods teaching for postgraduate students. Drafted the UK national curriculum for training on participatory video in research. Convenes PATTERN - The Participatory Technologies Education and Research Network
