MA student (Social Sciences)
About
I am a graduate student at The Open University, UK, where I have earned a BSc (First Class Honours) and a PG Diploma in Social Research Methods. Holding qualifications as professional in public adminstration, as well as auditor and quality manager, I have been working with academic, intergovernmental and governmental organisations as well as in specialist medicine, media and the financial sector in Germany and the UK.
The post-graduate programme covers quantitative and qualitative methods with a strong emphasis on ethical issues. My research interests revolve around social media with a focus on dynamics as to how users connect, what they learn informally by engaging with technology and with each other, and what constitutes deeper level digital literacies.
I have been a member of the AoIR (Association of Internet Researchers) since 2008.
